"There is a reason that customers drive 30 minutes out of Des
Moines to get landscaping advice and work, and that is the people and the
product at TimberPine. We got 2 bids for the work on our patio and
retaining wall and there was no question which bid we would take. From
the first time we met Jesse Swanson it was obvious he was a class act. He
walked around the area we were replacing and gave us great options of what to
do. He did not send us a bid in the mail, like your Des Moines competitor,
but brought it to us personally and walked us through each step in the
selection process. Subsequently, he went to Rhino Materials and helped us
make the selection of the patio stone. He was always willing to help and
no question was too stupid to ask. If he did not know the answer, which
was rare, he would check it out with others at TimberPine and get back to
us promptly with an answer.
When the project started, Jesse was there to go
over with the work crew as to the work that was needed and how to
accomplish it. We were also impressed with Steve and his crew. They
were courteous, knowledgeable, hard working, and always cleaned up at the
end of the day. This was difficult given the rains we were having and the
weather in general. They laid plywood down over the grass to keep yard
damage to a minimum. They put in full days and were very productive when
the weather allowed it. During this time, Jesse was there in the morning
and afternoon supervising the work and making modifications if it was
needed. He also gave us updates on the work and the anticipated
completion date.
Needless to say, with that kind of service we could not be
happier with the finished product. We enjoy the summer days on the patio
and we have had several compliments on how it looks. We are looking
forward to future barbecues, parties and also having a great place to
unwind after a day's work. Jesse has taken some pictures of the
completed job and feel free to share this information with anyone you
